Featuring what the new owner calls “the best view on the Tennessee River,’’ the new Bart’s Lakeshore Restaurant & Lounge is now open.

The restaurant at 5840 Lake Resort Terrace was recently purchased by Bart Huckaby.  It had operated as Lakeshore for the last 16 years and has been at the present location since 1974.

A major facelift of  the facility included adding a second full service bar to complement the huge area that includes a dance floor on one end.  Also added was outside patio seating on a new deck that overlooks Chickamauga Lake.

A 21-and-up smoking establishment, Bart’s Lakeshore is run by managers Terry Mull and Stephanie Shaw.

Bart’s Lakeshore is open M-F at 3 p.m. and on weekends at 11 a.m . with Happy Hour daily  from 3 to 7 p.m.  Bloody  Mary Happy  Hour Brunch is Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

With over 4000 square feet of air conditioned space, Bart’s Lakeshore features a full service restaurant with an extensive menu that has an array of items to satisfy any appetite.  A large selection of appetizers, soups and salads, sandwiches and burgers, wings and handmade Italian pizzas complement the first class entrée selections from our broiler or grill menu which includes everything from homemade lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, prime rib, a variety of steaks, chicken and shrimp dishes and many seafood dinner selections all at reasonable prices.

Enjoy a glass of fine wine or special cocktail from one or our full service bars with dinner.

After dinner, enjoy listening to music and dancing in our large lounge area complete with hardwood dance floor and stage area with upgraded sound and lighting system.   We feature full dance bands on select  Friday and Saturday nights and a DJ on all other nights with a variety of other live entertainers on other week nights.

In addition to the restaurant and lounge areas, Bart’s Lakeshore has a Sports Bar/Game area where you can relax and watch ball games and other sports events on one of the many HD LCD TV’s.  Or you can participate in competition and play video golf on one of our Golden Tee machines or bowl a game on one of the Silver Strike Bowling video machines.  Video poker and video trivia games are also available as well as dart boards for your entertainment.

Or just enjoy a cold Happy Hour beer and hang out on the patio deck with friends and watch the sunset over the lake to end the day before the party starts inside.
